rule application outside the U.S.



i suggest there should be express provisions on how these rules apply to
disputes outside the United States.

for instance, PLDT, a Philippine telco, last week sued an individual in
a Philippine court for registering pldt.com for alleged trademark
infringement. the guy was using the site for his organization, also with
initials PLDT, Inc., to parody the telco. PLDT, Inc. is a consumer
activist group.
