Gala Location: Golden Hall in the Great Hall of the People

The Great Hall of the People is located at the western edge of Tiananmen Square and at the south of West Chang'an Avenue, in the center of Beijing. It functions as the meeting place of the National People's Congress (NPC), and also as the working place for NPC and Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. It is an important place not only for political activities held by the Communist Party of China (CPC), the country as well as various people's organizations, but also for political, diplomatic and cultural activities held by Chinese state leaders and the masses of the people. Here it is convened the NPC and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) every year, and the CPC also holds its National Congress every five years.

• Old Beijing traditional folk artists demonstrating paper cutting, sugar figurine blowing, sugar painting and shadow-plays
• Opening Fou drum performance: a Chinese tradition stretching back to the Xia and Shang eras
• Fabulous performance: Ink Dance, Peking Opera, Chinese Folk Music

Bus Arrangement:

The distance between the Beijing International Hotel and the Great Hall of the People is about 4 kilometers.

Tips:

Please go to the local host booth on the second floor and show your conference badge to receive a GALA ticket.

Please show your conference badge and GALA dinner ticket while boarding the bus, and replace your ticket with an invitation of the Great Hall of the People in the bus, which will be used to enter the Great Hall of the People.

GALA tickets will be distributed from April 7th to 9th:

• On April 7th 200 tickets will be handed out;
• On April 8th 500 tickets will be handed out;
• On April 9th 300 tickets will be handed out.
