Session Leader: Leo Vegoda | Operational Excellence Manager
As various statistics indicated that IPv6 deployment has gained its momentum especially in the last 18 months. Although the absolute values of those statistics indicate continuos necessity of orchestrated efforts to increase IPv6 adoption, growth rates of those values is very encouraging. E.g., IPv4 vs IPv6 ASN count ratio increased 20% year on year during 2012.
IPv6 needs to be ready in every segments of the Internet eco-system and particularly IPv6 accessibility in last miles to end uers is critical. In this session, we will learn most up to date network operators' efforts and exerience in enabling IPv6 accessibility to their both fixed network and mobile network customers. We will also learn efforts provided by Internet number registries in supporting the industry's transition to IPv6.
This session is coordinated by APNIC and ICANN in order to reach out all sections of the multi-stakeholder Internet community with timely information and recent experience.
