'A Journey through South Africa' at ICANN 47, Durban

Phase 1           Transfer from the ICC to uShaka Marine World (including welcome entertainment)[17:00-18:30]

09:00-16:00

Guests can collect their invitations from the .ZA booth (#6) situated in exhibition hall 3A of the ICC from Monday, 15 July 2013.

17:00 - 18:30

Guests will be collected from the ICC, Zone A and Zone B of the ICANN designated routes and dropped off at point 1-the main entrance to the U-Shaka Marine World and point 2-the Addington entrance respectively. Guests who would prefer to walk from their hotels (particularly if situated along the promenade) to the function venue are welcome to do so. Ushers will be strategically placed along the way. Guests alighting from exit point 2 are invited to enjoy a short transfer to the main ticket entrance of the marine world via the colorful rickshaws that have been provided. This service will be available from 17:00 until 19:00.

Phase 2           Welcome drinks, Dolphins under the starlight and Official Welcome to the Gala Dinner [17:30-19:00]

17:15 - 18:45

Guests are invited to enter the Marine World to sample some of the best African beer and cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) before making their way to the dolphin arena for a spectacular 'Dolphins under the Starlight' experience.

19:00-19:30    

'Dolphins under the Starlight' will start at 19:00 and run for about 30 minutes.

Phase 3           Main entertainment and Networking [19:00-24:00]

Guests are invited to continue their 'Journey through South Africa' experience by sampling a variety of Afrocentric entertainment, beer, wines and tantalising South African cuisine. Food and drink stations will be set up on the upper level and inside the Marine World.

20:00-21:00

Guests are invited to dance to the beat of well-known SA artist Zahara for at least an hour and then to DJ Sly for the rest of the evening. Other entertainment will be provided in the course of the evening.

Guests may also take advantage of a photo booth, which will be set up to capture their SA experience.

Phase 4           Journey through SA ends [23:00 - 00:00]

 Guests will be transported from the uShaka Marine World to Zone A and Zone B designated hotels with the final stop being the ICC. This service will operate during the above time frame from the point 2 drop-off area -Addington entrance. Guests who would like to leave earlier are required to make their own transport arrangements (taxis will be available along the promenade and the main entrance to the uShaka marine world).
