The New gTLD Objection and Dispute Resolution window opened on 13 June 2012 and is scheduled to run for approximately seven months. There are four grounds for objection:
String Confusion - The applied for gTLD string is confusingly similar to an existing TLD or to another applied-for gTLD string.
Administered by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR)
Legal Rights - The applied-for gTLD string violates the legal rights of the objector.
Administered by Arbitration and Mediation Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO Center)
Limited Public Interest - The applied-for gTLD string goes against generally accepted legal norms of morality and public order that are recognized under principles of international law.
Administered by International Centre for Expertise of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Centre)
Community - There is substantial opposition to the gTLD application from a significant portion of the community that the gTLD string is targeting.
Administered by the ICC Centre
