ICANN held a series of meetings in Santiago, Chile, on August 24-26, 1999. Any interested person was welcome to attend and participate; most meetings were broadcast live over the Internet, with remote participants able to submit comments and questions in real time. HOST COMMITTEE WEB SITE
The local Host Committee, chaired by Florencio Utreras, has prepared a web site with full details relating to meeting venues, lodging options, and meeting schedules.

The ICANN meetings will be held primarily at the College of Economic Sciences, University of Chile in Santiago, Chile, with some meetings held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. ICANN has reserved a block of rooms at this hotel to be used by the Internet community. When reserving a room with the Crowne Plaza, please be sure to mention that you are attending the ICANN meetings in order to receive the discounted room rate. We suggest you make reservations as soon as possible as these rooms will be filled quickly. Information on this hotel, including phone numbers to make your reservation can be found below.
