Organic Names does not propose to seek any funds from the VeriSign endowment.

Organic Names feels that if the VeriSign endowment is to be used to fund ICANN or not-for-profit causes, then ICANN should instruct VeriSign to apply the endowment to those causes directly, rather than linking such funding to running a registry in a supposedly not-for-profit manner.

Organic Names considers that offering a one-off windfall of US $5 million may distract potential registries from providing a fundamentally sound long-term business plan.
