ICANN is not currently a membership organization.
However, Article II of ICANN's bylaws (Appendix
2 to IRS Form 1023) has been reserved for provisions concerning
membership.

ICANN has agreed to pay The Darwin Group,
Inc., a monthly payment of $18,000 in exchange for 100% of the
billable professional services of Michael M. Roberts, who serves
as ICANN's Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, and
for related office space, administrative support, and overhead.
Darwin is a California corporation owned by Mr. Roberts and his
immediate family. Under Article V, Section 1 of ICANN's bylaws,
Mr. Roberts serves as a director during his tenure as President.
