Overview:

This tutorial will introduce the players and processes used in setting standards for protocols used in the Internet. Attendees will learn about the roles the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) working groups, Internet Engineering Steering Group, Internet Arichitecture Board (IAB), IETF Administrative Oversight Committee, IETF Trust, IANA Protocol Parameters Function, and Internet Society play in creating the technical standards. Other topics that will be covered include the Internet standardization process itself and how the IETF works.
