Draft Operating Standards: Update, Discussion, Next Steps Interested in learning about proposed updates to the Draft Operating Standards? Join this session for an update, community discussion, and to provide feedback on the latest draft of the Operating Standards. ICANN org will also provide an overview of next steps, including public comment and the eventual adoption of the Operating Standards. Background ICANN org is developing Operating Standards to provide guidance on conducting Specific Reviews, as mandated by and in line with the Bylaws. The development process began shortly after the adoption of the Bylaws in consultation with the community. Draft Operating Standards were posted for public comment on 27 October 2017. The public comment closed on 2 February 2018. ICANN org is now in the process of modifying Draft Operating Standards based on public comments and recent experience with Specific Reviews that were launched and/or conducted under the new Bylaws, including best practices and process improvements and public comments on Long-Term Options to Adjust the Timeline for Specific Reviews. - Session Leader: Lars Hoffmann Staff Facilitator: Jennifer Bryce
