GNSO - NCSG - Can formal standards simplify 3rd party access to registration data?

The basic idea of the workshop is to consult leaders at ICANN concerning basic questions that need to be answered (from the perspective of data protection) before a data controller or processor (eg registrar or registry) gives access to personal data, to third parties. Standards and accreditation processes are envisaged by the GDPR (section 42) and other data protection laws, but need to be developed in the context of third party access.
