GAC: GDPR Discussion

This session is a continuation of the GAC's discussion of WHOIS Compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GAC is expected to discuss steps that should be taken to ensure that the various streams of work in relation to this matter (EPDP, Unified Access Model, ICANN engagement with Data Protection Authorities) deliver on the GAC's objective to achieve a comprehensive model that allows access to non-public WHOIS data for authenticated users, with a legitimate and proportionate purpose, in a manner that is consistent with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation and other data protection legislations elsewhere. - Session Leader: Robert Hoggarth Staff Facilitator: Fabien Betremieux
