Laila Lorenzon is a Brazilian professional currently based in Paris, pursuing a Master's in Digital Humanities at Université Paris VIII. She also serves as the Development and Partnerships Manager at Data-Pop Alliance, where she secures funding and builds partnerships to advance research and capacity-building initiatives focused on data-driven humanitarian action, particularly in the Global South.
She holds a degree in International Relations from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and has contributed to key projects on digital rights and data protection. Her experience includes roles at the Internet Society’s Brazilian Chapter, the Digital Rights Foundation in Pakistan, and the CyberBRICS Project at FGV. In 2020, she was selected as Ambassador for the Digital Citizen Program by Safernet and Facebook.
Passionate about decolonial studies, digital citizenship, and Internet governance, she researches zero-rating practices in Latin America and aims to amplify regional voices in global discussions while empowering local communities.
