Yusuph Kileo is a Tanzanian award-winning expert in cybersecurity and digital forensics. He is a prominent voice in the African information and communication technology (ICT) community, speaking at conferences and providing commentary for media outlets. His background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and a Master's degree in Information Technology. Kileo specializes in digital forensics, cybercrime investigation, and information security.
He has held notable roles, including serving in the Cybercrime Unit of the Tanzania Police Force, where he contributed to digital forensics capabilities and training. He has also been a board member for the Africa ICT Alliance (AfICTA) and represents AfICTA at ICANN's Business Constituency, participating in the Finance Committee and DNS Abuse Working Group.
Kileo has received awards such as being named one of the 2021 Africa ICT Champions and "Cybersecurity expert of the year". He actively engages with the public and media on cyber issues in Tanzania and promotes online safety. He also founded Tanzania's child online protection campaign in 2024.
