Maybe my memory is failing, but aren't these the same people
that just made it nearly impossibly to register more than a
couple of domains a day (if my customer doesn't end up
becoming theirs along the way), and deleted domains of
anyone who registered a lot of domains for their customers?
I wonder if anyone at NSI knows anything about how to
maintain good customer relations. Seems to me that this
extra attention would have been good BEFORE they started
screwing their customers.
I find it very interesting that I have /never/ received any
communication from NSI in the last 5+ years I've worked with
them, and all of a sudden in the last two weeks I'm starting
to get stuff like this. I had a "friend" like that once...
Pete.
[ And why can't NSI get my DNS information themselves?
Aren't they the ones who maintain it for me? Shouldn't they
also know how many domains I register each month--they seem
to know how many the "speculators" register. ]

Hello Mr. Kruckenberg,
Allow me to take this time to talk to you about our Premier
Services Program being offered at Network Solutions This
program was established to provide fast and efficient
registration services, complete with account management, to
our largest Internet Service Providers and Web Hosting
Companies.
[SNIP]
In order to qualify for Premier Partner Status, you must
register at least 100 new domains each month for a period of
the last 3 months and you must maintain at least an 80% Paid
record for your customers' registration fees. The domains
that count toward resignation are the 3 TLDs managed by NSI,
(.com,.net, and .org).
To qualify for Gold Premier Partner status, you must
register at least 500 new domain per month for a period of
time and again, you must maintain the 80% Paid minimum for
your customers' registration fees. These registered domains
must be in the .com, .net, and .org TLDs.
I will need you to send me your DNS information, so I may
have my technical person generate a report listing your
registration information.
Let me also mention that we have recently established an ISP
Support Center which [xxx] is the manager of, which provides
assistance to our smaller ISPs who do not yet qualify for
the Premier Services Program. We are acting more in a
consulting role to assist the small ISPs to smooth out their
interface with NSI in the registration and billing process.
If your figures do not put you into the Premier Services
arena at this time, we will be happy to add you to our list
of ISPs in the ISP Support Center.
We have another new program which may be of interest to you.
It is called the Affiliates Program. Go to our web site at
"www.networksolutions.com <http://www.networksolutions.com>"
and when the page comes up, click on Affiliates program.
Check out this registration link which can generate some
income for you based upon registrations that come in through
the link on your web site.
Sincerely,
-
