Trademark solution ".tm"
Your ruling about the domain names show limited vision. Instead of taking
away people's domain names you could have added a .tm domain suffix. This
way the trademarks could use that one. It is so simple and you didn't even
see it.
In the US trademarks are primarily MARKS; that is graphical symbols. The
trademark laws said that you can't trademark a word, but you can trademark
the look of the word. I don't think this has been, or needs to be changed.
All it takes is a little creativity and everyone can be happy. Let the
".com" people keep their domain names, and make a ".tm" .
