This is ludicrous

What is wrong with you people? Last year, I was able to reg a domain name, no problem. This year, I go to do it and I am told that unless I have a CREDIT CARD! I can forget getting a domain name registered. I am just joe internet, I don't follow the politics that goes on because it is so convoluted that it gives me headaches. I would NEVER consider giving my credit card information to ANYONE on the net. Your system, as far as I can see (as a layman to the whole process) is full of deceit and favoritism, at the very least, it discriminates against a good many people.
