Overview

The public forum is the Community's opportunity to make comments and ask questions on the main topics at each meeting directly to the Board and in front of the rest of the community.

For transparency, scribe feed is provided both in room and via remote participation in real-time to allow all comments and questions raised during the session viewed by everyone.

Remote participants have the opportunity to raise questions and/or comments by two means.

  • Via email – forum@icann.org
  • Via phone – Please call one of the international access numbers listed at http://adigo.com/icann/
    • Once connected, enter conference ID: 25594
    • Your phone line will be muted, should you have a question please press #3 and give the conference operator this information:
      • Your name.
      • Who you are representing, if anyone.
      • The city and country from which you are calling.
      • Your question.
    • The conference operator will convey the above information to ICANN staff in the meeting room.
    • When the moderator of the Public Forum introduces you, your line will be unmuted so you may ask your question.

Time Restrictions:

  • Each speaker will get two chances to address the specific issue as it is discussed.
    • 2-Minutes to make initial remarks.
    • 2-Minutes minutes later in the queue for any possible follow-up remarks.

Organization of the Forum:

The public forum has three main sections as follows:

  1. Board Reporting: ICANN Board provides a report at the end of the ICANN meeting week.
  2. Subject Specific Discussion: Time will be allotted for various topics (to be posted). This agenda is developed with input received from ICANN Community Leaders of Supporting Organizations, Advisory Councils and Stakeholder Groups/Constituencies and the community in general
  3. Any Other Business: This is in essence a more relaxed open mic session where any subject may be raised to the Board.
