ICANN thanks the members of the local host committee, chaired by Tarek Kamel and sponsored by the Egyptian Ministry of Communication, the Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), and the Internet Society of Egypt.
The Cairo meetings will be held on March 7-10 at the Cairo Sheraton Hotel. Special room rates have been arranged by the local host committee for attendees at the ICANN meetings, and a shuttle bus service from the airport will be provided. Details below:
Visas: Nearly every traveller to Egypt will require a visa. For general travel, tourism, and visa information, see the official site of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism. Detailed visa information and entry requirements can be found here. Also quite useful is the ArabNet site for Egypt. Visas are generally available upon arrival at Cairo Airport.

The local host committee will provide airport shuttle bus service for ICANN meeting attendees. The service will begin on Saturday morning, 08:00am, and will be available daily until 02:00am. The buses will be available at Hall 1, Terminal 1; also at Terminal 2. Look for the ICANN poster in the arrival hall.

The official opening of the ICANN Cairo meetings will be held in conjunction with the Cainet 2000 conference at the Cairo Marriott. Featured speakers will include:
