The Committee for a Democratic U.N. (KDUN) is a non-governmental
organization located in Germany. It is non-partisan and recognized as
charitable under tax laws. KDUN supports international democracy and the
strengthening of the United Nations. It is a volunteer network whose
membership consists of NGOs from Austria, Germany and Switzerland as well as
individual members mainly from Germany. - Explain the eligibility requirements (if any) for your
organization's constituents/membership (if you provide a written
application for admission as a member, you may attach a copy):
Applicants for membership have to provide a CV. - In what language/s does your organization conduct its business?
Mainly in German and English. French and Spanish is possible. - Provide support for the statement that your organization is

There is a board which gets elected by the general assembly for 2 years. The
board is the policy-making body accountable to the general assembly and
draws upon advice of an advisory board composed of respected individuals and
parliamentarians. The members of the advisory board are appointed by the
board for an undetermined period. The board forms an executive board which
decides on the daily operational business. - Does your organization commit to supporting its individual
constituents'/membership's informed participation in ICANN?

regarding issues of interest:
The internet governance coordinator and the working group on internet

Objectives

Promote democratic practice within the United Nations and other global
governance affairs. - What ICANN-related issues currently are of interest to your
organization's constituents/membership:
Democratisation of governance and management practice of ICANN. ICANN's
involvement in the Internet Governance Forum. Possible creation of a United
Nations Parliamentary Assembly and a linkage of this new body to ICANN/IGF. - If formed, will your organization commit to assisting the Regional
At-Large Organization (RALO) for the region in which your organization
is based in performing its function?
