Overview

This is a continuation of Internet governance dialogue at ICANN meetings. It is an opportunity to update ICANN stakeholders on what is going on at the IGF, and to hear their views on relevant subject matters.

By the time this session will be held, the United Nations General Assembly will have decided on the renewal of the IGF beyond its first 5-year term. If the IGF is renewed, this workshop will be a good opportunity for ICANN stakeholders to discuss the terms of the renewal and therefore the future of the IGF.

Who Should Attend? | All stakeholders interested in the future of the IGF and in international dialogue on Internet governance.

Agenda Details:

The workshop will discuss the continuation of the IGF as a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue, and necessary improvements should its mandate be extended beyond its initial 5-year term.

The workshop will also include a summary from the November taking stock meeting and brief participants on the CSTD Working Group created to look into IGF improvements.

The Chairman's summary of the September Vilnius IGF meeting can be found at http://intgovforum.org/cms/2010/The.2010.Chairman's.Summary.pdf
