Workshop: Internationalized Domain Name
12:30-19:30, 30 November 2005
Vancouver, Canada
In General
The IDN workshop in Vancouver will have a main focus on issues regarding IDNs at the top level, such as identification and assessment of IDN TLD implementation issues, and of potential risks of IDN TLD deployment to a global interoperable Internet. As such the workshop will build on the achievements of session two of the previous workshop held on 13 July 2005 in Luxembourg
Leading up to this workshop ICANN issued on 14 September 2005 a formal call for papers concerning internationalized top level domain name implementation and any other suggestions for topics and questions that should be addressed during this workshop. The received papers were posted online on 17 November 2005, and provide the basis for the agenda as presented below.
By posting these papers ICANN does not endorse their content .
Please contact Tina Dam, ICANN’s Chief gTLD Registry Liaison for general comments or questions to the agenda.
