ICANN Yokohama Meeting Topic - Introduction of New Top-Level Domains: Expression of Interest #1
Posted: 9 July 2000
Greetings ICANN Staff,
The authors of Position Paper E ("A Position Paper on some new gTLDs") reaffirm their expressions of interest in a TLD, specifically a gTLD jurisdictionally scoped to North America, with a policy model of registry delegation to, and registry operation by, the Indigenous Nations and Peoples of North America.
Position Paper E is available at the DNSO web site, and responds to the set of questions put before participants in WG-C in mid-1999. A revision will be submitted shortly to ICANN via tld-interest@icann.org, and to the National Council of Indian Chiefs (NCAI). The NCAI will review the revised expression during the mid-Summer meeting in Juneau and a final revised expression may be submitted by the authors ("NAA Registry Group") subsequently.
