The tenacity and spirit of the MS Bike participants was very inspiring.
Everyone was determined to get back to business as usual, despite the
tragedy of September 11. Honestly, I didn’t feel like participating
– I was basically homeless, planning my wedding and just simply
trying to get my life back. But in the end, I realized that this was something
normal, something I would have done before the attack. Although my fundraising
efforts essentially ended September 11, the website and email tools were
more effective than any postcard mailing or telephone 'blitz' that I have
