General description of the applicants business and other activities: Organic Names is a newly formed company, created by skilled and technically knowledgeable individuals with successful commercial experience who share the common aim of ensuring the smooth and secure transition of the .org registry to a dedicated registry that will benefit individual users, the registry/registrar industry and the Internet community as a whole. Organic Names has much pleasure in submitting this document to ICANN, and hopes it is received favourably after the consideration of its unique approach to the enhancement of the .org registry. Organic Names believes it can provide unequalled enrichment to the strength of the .org name globally. This standing can be achieved without the provision of the allocated $5 million endowment, which Organic Names believes should be directed towards ICANN funds for the purpose of development to fulfil the Corporation's aims. |
