Name of Corporation: The .Org Foundation
Purpose For Which The Nonprofit Corporation Is Organized:
In response to a Request For Proposal by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) for an entity to assume the operation of the registry for the .org Top-Level Domain (TLD), The .Org Foundation was established to efficiently serve the needs of .org registrants and the wider Internet community (via the DNS) and to be the most accountable registry provider possible for the .org community.
In The Event Of A Voluntary Dissolution, The Net Assets Will Be Distributed As Follows:
In the event of a voluntary dissolution, The .Org Foundation will distribute any net assets to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the body that gave the initial endowment funds to The .Org Foundation as the designated successor operator of the .org registry. The Foundation will return any unused matching funds received to the matching funds donating entity.
