New TLD Applications

During the period from 5 September to 2 October 2000, ICANN will accept applications from those seeking to sponsor or operate new top-level domains (TLDs). For information on the application process, please read the New TLD Application Instructions document. The instructions in that document should be followed carefully.

The application forms that should be used depend on whether the application is for a Sponsored TLD (i.e. a TLD having a sponsoring organization) or an Unsponsored TLD. These terms are defined in the New TLD Application Process Overview prepared by the ICANN staff to describe the overall application process.

The application forms should be retrieved through the following links. In addition to HTML format, they are also available in plaintext, MS Word 6/7, and Corel WordPerfect 6.
