Translations
Welcome to ICANN’s translations page. The translation process contains several steps. First, a request by an ICANN staff member is put through to ICANN’s translation team for a particular documents to be translated into certain languages. When the document returns from the selected translator, it is then passed onto one or more“checkers” who are individuals well versed in ICANN’s work, in order to provide the necessary technical accuracy. When received from the checker, the document is then prepared for publication.
The translation process is currently undergoing reform as ICANN prepares to provide a far greater number of documents in different languages to the community. ICANN’s translation principles will be turned into a translation policy.
ICANN uses ISO standards 693-1 and 693-2 to denote individual languages. The most common codes are given below:
عربي | 中文 | English | Français | Español | Русский |
AR | ZH | EN | FR | ES | RU |
