GNSO: RPMs PDP Working Group, Part 4
12:30 - 14:15 UTC on Thursday, 15 March
103-A
Description
Part 4: The GNSO’s Review of All Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs) Policy Development Process (PDP) Working Group was chartered in March 2016 to conduct a two-phased PDP. In Phase One, which is ongoing, the Working Group is reviewing all the RPMs that were developed for the 2012 New gTLD Program. In the final session of four open community sessions being held at ICANN61, the Working Group has invited all three providers of Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) dispute resolution services to present on a series of topics relating to the function of the URS. The URS is a dispute resolution procedure, based substantially on the longstanding Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy, that allows trademark owners to obtain a suspension of a domain name that was registered and used in bad faith by a third party without legitimate rights in the name. All interested community members are welcome to attend this session.
Agenda Details: Presentation from and dialogue with the three URS providers (FORUM, MFSD, ADNDRC) (Please note: two of the presenters may be participating remotely.)
