Supplemental Question #10 to Nine Applicants

Supplemental Question #10 to Nine Applicants

Supplemental Question #10
(posed to nine applicants on 9 September for response by 12 September 2002)

In Supplemental Question #1, we asked each applicant to provide details, including the number of domain names, on the registry and registrar operations the applicant wishes to have considered as part of its (or its team members') experience in the course of the evaluation.

In the responses of the applicants to the draft evaluation reports, somewhat conflicting and confused assertions were made regarding the length of experience various applicants have had in operating a DNS TLD (or SLD) registry, as referenced in the responses to Supplemental Question #1. For consistency sake, we are asking each applicant that is relying on experience with a delegated DNS TLD (or SLD) registry to fill in a table with key milestone dates for the TLD (or SLD) operation.

Based on our review of the responses to Supplemental Question #1, specifics for the following DNS TLD/SLDs are being requested in this Supplemental Question #10:

In responding to this supplemental question, please adhere to these guidelines:

1. All responses to this supplemental question must include the table below, filled in with the requested information.

2. Each applicant should submit one filled-in table for each entry in the list above that begins with the applicant's name. For example, GNR should submit one filled-in table, Organic should submit two filled-in tables, and RegisterORG should submit eight filled-in tables.

3. No more than 100 words of textual explanation (if needed) may be included with each table that is submitted.

4. If a requested date is before 18 June 2000 (two years before the application deadline), it is sufficient to simply state that the event
occurred before that date.

5. The dates referred to in queries [e]-[g] and [i]-[k] refer to the dates on which production (rather than testing or OT&E) activities commenced.

Thank you for your cooperation.

.la

The table below lists the key milestone dates for the .la TLD. The date in section d reflects the date of the registry services contract with The Lao National Internet Committee (LANIC). However, because its requests to IANA for re-delegation of its technical contact and for a change in DNS are currently pending, the dates for registration are held up and therefore listed as "in migration." Upon final reconciliation with the database supported by Singapore Telcom, the current technical contact, we will be in a position to fully support registration.
