ICANN Meetings in Yokohama
13-17 July 2000
ICANN's next round of meetings are now being held (13-17 July, 2000), in Yokohama. The meetings are free to attend and open to any interested person. Details about the meetings are being posted on this page as they become available. Please check back often!
The ICANN Yokohama meetings are being held at the Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center in Yokohama, Japan. The ICANN meetings have been co-located with the INET 2000 Conference, hosted by the Internet Society, 18-21 July.
ICANN thanks the members of the local organizing committee, led by the Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC).

WEBCAST AND REMOTE PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
As usual, ICANN will be webcasting the ICANN Public Forum (15 July) and ICANN Board meeting (16 July). Click here for details on the webcasts and remote participation opportunities for those unable to attend the meetings in person.
If you plan to attend the ICANN meetings in Yokohama, please pre-register here. There is no registration fee to attend ICANN meetings.
While preregistration is not required, the information will be used to prepare printed nametags. Preregistration will also assure that you're kept up to date about logistical details as information becomes available. As an option, you may choose to be included on a public list of meeting attendees.
The Information for Development Program (infoDev). The infoDev program of the World Bank has agreed to consider funding a limited number of infoDev Conference Scholarship Fund (iCSF) Fellows. The iCSF Fellowships will support expenses directly related to the attendance of developing country participants at the ICANN meetings. Allowable expenses will include travel, accommodations, and per diem. Applications are being evaluated by the LACNIC and AfriNIC organizations.
Salzburg Seminar's ICANN Travel-Support Project. The Salzburg Seminar's ICANN Travel-Support Project administers travel and accommodation grants for a limited number of representatives from non-profit, educational, research, or public-interest organizations to attend international ICANN meetings. To determine your visa requirements, you should contact your local Japanese Consular Office or review the information at http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/02.html. If a visa is necessary, you should complete the form at http://mc-net.jtbcom.co.jp/icann/vif.pdf and return it to the ICANN-Yokohama Travel Assistance Desk according to the instructions at the top of the form. Please fill out the form carefully and completely, as the information provided will be used in the preparation of the support documents necessary for your visa application. Because the application process often takes more than one month, it is important that you return the completed Visa Information Form as soon as possible.
