Once you sign up with GARA Security we immediately begin verifying your business and website information.
We use a number of verification processes in order to accurately reflect your companies information.
Here are some of things that we verify, based on the various Seals that we offer:

Privacy Seals
Privacy Verified Seal - In order to qualify for the GARA Security Privacy Verified Seal, your Privacy Policy must include three core statements. Your statements must be similar to the items below:
1) Customer information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without the consent of the customer, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by the customer.
2) Private Customer information (credit cards, S.S. Numbers, financials, etc.) will not be kept on file for more than 60 days. (If a company requires more than 60 days, they must receive special approval from Trust Guard.)
3) Customer will not receive any continual email solicitation from the company, unless the customer consents to the solicitation at checkout, or through a double opt-in process. And, if the customer does consent to receive email from the company, the company agrees to have a simple unsubscribe option available, along with unsubscribe instructions in every email.
Once these three criteria are met and verified by GARA Security, one of your managing members will be required to sign a statement on behalf of the company, wherein you agree to uphold these criteria in the future.

Security Verified Seal - Our Security Verified Seal verifies the security of your website as it pertains to your SSL certificate and customer privacy. To become Security Verified, we validate your SSL certicate provider, the certificates expiration date, and your checkout/customer submission pages to ensure that they are secure.
