Overview:

The Internet Engineering Task Force published the Registry Data Access Protocol in March 2015, which will replace the (port-43) WHOIS protocol. The next step is to determine how to implement the new protocol in the gTLD space. Contracted parties, such as registries and registrars, are invited to learn about the specifics of what must be implemented and provide feedback on the process.
