Issues related to whether certain International Governmental Organizations (IGOs) and International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) should receive special protection for their names have been raised throughout the development of the New gTLD Program. In this working session, members of the ICANN organization and IGO-INGO Identifiers Protection Policy Implementation Review Team will discuss the status of ongoing policy implementation work on those policy recommendations that have been approved by the board including issues and challenges, potential mechanisms and a timeline.
