In this session, ICANN and IANA staff will walk attendees through how policy at ICANN works. To do so, this session will focus on the New gTLD Program: 2026 Round and describes the genesis of the policy work, how the policy development process progressed, and the policy and technical implementation steps, culminating in an update of the data found in the DNS’s root zone file.
