QUALIFICATIONS
Statement addressing the candidates qualifications and experience specifically relevant to (a) ICANN's technical and administrative responsibilities, and (b) your leadership and policy-level roles.
As a librarian, educator, and researcher, I have been using the INTERNET, in its various incarnations, since 1980. I have built networks, bulletin-board systems, on-line interactive databases, and automated library systems. I have conducted training for teachers, administrators, researchers and government officials in the effective and appropriate use of the INTERNET, both as a research tool and as a communications medium. I have kept myself current in the rapidly-changing field of copyright in the digital age. I recognize the importance of maintaining independence, privacy, and protection for non-commercial interests as the INTERNET becomes more and more universally accessible.

I have no consulting relationship, ownership, investment interest or official position in any ICANN-related business or organization.

I have been an educator and librarian for over 20 years. I respect academic rigor, intellectual freedom, individeual liberty, and personal privacy. I believe there are cooperative solutions to the complex problems posed by the digital distribution of proprietary information in all its forms.
