| (A) I think ICANN'S future responsibilities are to be found in the area of providing a philosophical and political background to a new universal tool of information and communication. My field of activities os for more than fifteen years dealing with authors rights mainly in the tv and film business. Authorship in all it's various (and not yet entirely explored) ways is the key issue for whoever wants to deal with the internets influences on society for the next decade.
(B)I think that the ICANN board of directors cannot allow itself to not have a strong representation of authors and providers of content in general among it's members. Content is the real backbone of the internet whereas all the technical aspects will vanish as they did for radio, film, tv, telephone and all the other communication means mankind has invented.

| As a member of the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne I developped net-related projects with the New York besed artis Ingo Günter As a staff member of Grundy Ufa I developped a project for net based co-operation via e-mail between authors and other team members for the development of tv-series As a member of the development team of the Universitiy of Milan for a software that allows net based co-operation between authors I am responsible for the feedback between testing teams and the programming staff. I am one of the first thousand owners of a Compuserve e-mail adress in Germany.
