Statement addressing the candidates qualifications
and experience specifically relevant to
(a) ICANN's technical and
administrative responsibilities, and
(b) your leadership and policy-level
roles.

Being a worldwide organization devoted to the Internet with the first global elections, ICANN will require new duties for those who will participate in it. Transparency and neutrality are among them. For those who will be interested in the Internet governance, Icann will become a unique place for disseminating the reflexion about the Internet in our societies.
At the same time the Internet becomes a place where all the particular and public interests are at stake. Shaping the Internet domain names for the years to come will require an independant and technically advised opinion. Coordinating the ICANN works with all the technical and institutional organizations of the Internet will also become a primary task for the members of the board of ICANN.
As an academic, I have been involved in several research works on technology policy (Internet governance) and educational technologies projects (large audience scientific and technological exhibitions) and I'm willing to bring to the ICANN board the competencies I acquired in those two kind of public interests projects. The neutrality I always expressed in my professional career will best serve the european and international Internet community.
