(a)My research lab is for "Global Information
Systems", featuring the Internet technology.
I am in a good position for judging among
several different areas from Politics to pure
Computer Science. I was an early big user of the net in 1984 and on. I designed and pioneered the campus connection to the WIDE project in 1988-1994.
(b) I like to carry out the role in this long and winding road. I got a title from Richard Stallman as
the Vice President for Japan of the Free Software Foundation and am working for it for 10 years.
ISO SC22 JavaSG and ECMA TC41 Java Standardization member.
Former ANSI X3J13 CommonLisp Principal member for over 10 years starting 1985-.
I have participated several ODA technology transfer program to Singapore and Argentine.
