QUALIFICATIONS
Statement addressing the candidates qualifications and experience specifically relevant to (a) ICANN's technical and administrative responsibilities, and (b) your leadership and policy-level roles.
(a) ICANN's technical and administrative responsibilities: I am mostly self taught with regards to understanding the technical aspects of the domain name system, or DNS. The DNS system was set up so that communication could take place via modems and routers. The need for expanding our architecture is inevitable with the increased use of wireless products which are using up protocols faster than our system will allow (over time). SO it is with this interest and understanding of how the overall architecture of the system works which has captivated my interest in this arena. As far as the administration of ICANN policy I have been there before ICANN when IANA was created. I fully comprehend what the "intent" of the green and white papers (which ultimately mandated to ICANN) and how they should be carried out (if they are still following that). and (b) his/her leadership and policy-level roles: I have been placed in various leadership roles at the community level. My role in the Army National Guard has been instrumental in helping me do this as we provide a positive impact on the community through cooperative projects on infrastructure and teen mentorship. I take this very seriously when involving myself in projects. My policy level roles have been mainly in government roles in carrying out public policy with regards to social programs, military programs and the like.

I do consulting work on the side for small or large corporations interested in developing an online identity. This involves helping them choose the right domain name for their particular interest. Our company does own approximately 35 domain names which were purchased to resell to these companies at a lower rate then most domain identity companies operating right now. I have no other involvement with ANY ICANN-related business I am a At-Large member.

I would simply like to introduce myself by telling you my life philosophies: 1) I do not like unproductive discussions and meetings which produce no results. I am very goal oriented. Every meeting should have a goal and then achieved within a specified timeframe, or pay the consequences 2) Anything you do, do it right and have a plan if things hit the fan 3) I don't jump without looking first (researching) 4) I am open to new an innovative ideas ---you won't see any moss growing under these feet and lastly 5) People matter: It doesn't matter if you belong to domain reseller organizations or the trademark groups; each person or group, I feel can bring something to the table. That is why my main philosophy of leadership is to LISTEN, before speaking, then make decisive, consensus based decisions that reflect those views (which may or may not ultimately reflect your own. Currently I am a mid-level state government employee with no ties with any national government whatsoever.
