I own and manage a group of companies computer related since 1988, and actually hold management positions at several other companies and organizations, such as : CEO at Tropical Software Lda (since 1988) CEO at Internacional Software Lda (since 1992) Marketing and Equipment Director at Radio Clube da Covilhã CRL(since 1991) President at Associação de Pais e Encarregados de Educação da Escola EB Nº1 da Covilhã (since 1999) 1st Secretary of the Board of Directors at Associação dos Bombeiros Voluntários da Covilhã (since April 2000) President of the Fiscal Board at Associação de Ténis de Mesa da Beira Interior (since 1997) In these companies and organizations, I am responsible for developping and implementing management, marketing and technical strategies, including managing and leading small teams (up to 10 persons) to achieve specific goals. Besides Portugues, I speak English, Spanish, French, and some Italian and some German. I am a student at Universidade da Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, restarting my course at Matemática Informática (Mathematics and Informatics). I am currently at my 2nd year. I am also a student at the MSc of Marketing at Leicester University, Great Britain. I believe my professional, personal and academic experience can be of interest to ICANN and the Internet comunity, not only for my good technical background, but also for my humanist and multi-cultural point of vue of the internet comunity and society.

I live in Portugal, and I am 34 years old, married, two children, and enjoy travelling and meeting other cultures. I visited Angola, Spain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Russia, United Kindom and United States of America. I believe in a non-conservative attitude facing the Internet and the new technologies, but I also believe that we must set ourselves the limits that others expect us to respect.
