I have a working knowledge of computers, networking and the domain name system in general. I am also familiar with trademark and other legal issues surrounding ICANN and the domain name system and domain names in general. I run two of the most visited websites in the world WhiteHouse.com and Sucks.com and I have spoken twice in front of the ICANN Board. I have also had been featured and or interviewed by various media outlets worldwide in regards to domain name issues by such media outlets such as NBC, MSNBC, ABC, Reuters, Wsahington Post and Los Angeles Times. I feel that I would bring qualities to ICANN that are now lacking on the current ICANN board such as someone to look after free speech issues and the rights of individual domain name holders.

My name is Dan Parisi and I run the WhiteHouse.com portal
website and the Sucks.com free speech websites. I have a B.S. from
Indiana University and I am married with one child. I have been
involved in the Internet running websites for almost 5 years. I have
tried to keep up with the latest technology and legal changes that have
involved the web over that time. I have done extensive research on my
own and have been invloved in several high profile legal battles over
domain names and free speech issues and I feel that my expertise in this area would serve the
Internet community well. I am a strong believer in individual's rights
and of the role the U.S. constitution provides in protecting our rights
from oppressive government actions. I have attended and spoke at both
the Boston and Los Angeles ICANN meetings. I quoted the famous phrase
at the Boston Meeting "Power Corrupts and Absolute Power corrupts
absolutely" and I beleive that if ICANN is not held in check it will
become a absolute power with no checks against its power. I do not
believe that the U.S. government had the right to "privatize" the
Internet naming body as it seeems to me that is nothing more than a
deliberate attempt to make an end run around the U.S. constitution. I
believe that having someone such as myself is needed to balance the
rights of individuals and domain name holders against those of big
business and corporate America.
