(a) I have a good understanding of all the general issues pertaining to ICANN relatd issues.
As CEO of Australian Hosting Pty Ltd, I oversaw the completion of a fully operational ISP service> My primary role was to handle all issues associated with the APNIC alocation of IP addresses.
My primary interest however is the allocation of domain names. I feel that this issue will dominate many meetings of ICANN, and I wish to represent the general communities interests as best as I can. It seems now that larger corporations have finally figured out the power of the Internet, they realise that domain names are real estate which they want to control.
(b) Being a CEO of Toast.com and owning many other businesses, I feel I can bring a high level of leadership and policy direction to the ranks of ICANN. ICANN is an instrument for the people of this world as demonstrated by the enthusiastic resposne to its membership. We can not let this opportunity slip past our doors, as the future direction of the Internet as a whole depends on us now. We need as many independant voices at ICANN, as we cannot leave these important policy decisions to the major corporations or technocrats.
