QUALIFICATIONS |
Statement addressing the candidates qualifications
and experience specifically relevant to
(a) ICANN's technical and
administrative responsibilities, and
(b) your leadership and policy-level
roles.
|
(a) Daily, I work on the Net to help net-citizens to get a user-friendly domains service registration. I keep in touch with the soul of the Net and I discover their opinions and how the demands change day after day. Operating on global and local base, I saw different uses of the new medias. For example, I provide Customer care services and contents to one of the importantest Maintainer for IT top level domain and I was the main speaker of a course beginners-oriented at the local library, I promoted the computer of a well-known European producer but I was a contributor of the "City Web" of my Province, too.
(b) All these and other activities allow me to know many people in different places and with different skills. The most important thing is not just to know how to understand a network-engineer (it's necessary but not enough); it's to explain with simple words the things which may look hard to understand for the most of people.

(b)I manage different Internet domains; I registered domains which may be useful for some famous people, Company and Institution (as Kournikova, Moric, In-Q-Tel, career services, ...) to give them these domains free of charge when they decide to get their identity on the Net in Europe and to avoid that cybersquatters get their identities on the web, as it happened to me.
(c)Only in the above mentioned registrar. |
BACKGROUND |
Background information, personal statement, URL, or other information

website.

Main free-time activities and projects: Forum about rights on the Net, idendities-surnames protection, ... My surname was registered by Nicky Grauso, an Italian cybersquatter, and so I registered www.grauso.co.uk and I built a forum dedicated to cybersquatting, privacy and other rights-on-the-Net there; GR.A.USO was used as an acronymous of "GRuppo Attenti (nell')USO" (translated: "User Group - careful in the use"). Recently, I made interviews about the site I dedicated to cybersquatting with Repubblica.it and other Italian important e-zine (Il Sole - 24 Ore, ...) and radios. I registered domains which may be useful for some famous people, Company and Institution (as Anna Kournikova, Nina Moric, In-Q-Tel, career services, ...) to give these domains free of charge to the right owner if they decide to get their identity on the Net in Europe and to avoid that they find domains important for them already taken by cybersquatters, as it happened to me.
