Have worked as system designer for consulting assignments with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and large number of local and foreign institutions. www.pakistanlaw.com, www.pakistaniplaw.com, www.khursheedkhan.com, www.khursheed.com. Posses more then 20 different domain names and actively involved in the development of IT Policy of Pakistan. Experience of web designing and development. Have been involved in amending Copyright law of Pakistan to afford better protection to computer software. Legal counsel for Business Software Alliance in Pakistan and represents major high technology Fortune500 clients. Working relations with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), World Trade Organization (WTO) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
Diverse financial and general management experience in licensing, patents, JV's and other means of transferring and protecting know-how or technology. Strong negotiation and partnering skills. | Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan: Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Karachi. He also successfully completed the South Asian Patent Drafting (SEAD) course in Singapore. Upto July 1993, I was associated with Orr, Dignam & Co., a leading law firm of Pakistan specialising in corporate laws. In July 1993 I joined the firm of Khursheed Khan & Associates and leads its intellectual property practice. I have worked for the World Bank in the period August 1990 to
August 1991. Over the last ten years I have
acquired extensive experience in all phases of intellectual property and high technology law practice, with considerable involvement in litigation; licensing; opinions; patent,
trade mark and copyright prosecutions; joint ventures and franchises. I am associated with the Institute of Trade Mark Agents (ITMA); International Trade Mark Association (INTA); European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA); the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA); the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI); the Institute of Patent Attorneys of Australia
(IPAA); the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL).
I have been associated with the American Bar Association (ABA), ABA Patent, Trade Mark and Copyright Section, ABA Law Practice Management Section.
