QUALIFICATIONS
Statement addressing the candidates qualifications and experience specifically relevant to (a) ICANN's technical and administrative responsibilities, and (b) your leadership and policy-level roles.
Since 1998, I have continually monitored the development of ICANN policies, the adoption of the UDRP, as well as, the use of the arbitration forum to settle disputes, while maintaining a high level of interest and understanding for ICANN. As a Political Science graduate, a Marketing Director for Bookkeeping.com, and a consistent leader and volunteer in my community, I strongly feel that my experience and knowledge would be beneficial to the growth of ICANN and the policies it creates and administers. In consideration of relevant experience, I have been the manager of marketing for an Internet start-up company, involving myself in all daily business operations, development of the company and the management of marketing strategies. Throughout my life I have demonstrated strong leadership abilities. As a high-school teacher in South Korea I was responsible for the development of an English Language Studies program at a senior level. In doing so, I managed the development of courses, communicated with government departments and parents alike, and acquired strong cultural relation skills. I also have a high-level of ability in both written and spoken Korean. As well, I have a broad understanding and experience in Internet technology, ranging from programming language abilities to web application knowledge. Specifically, I am well versed in the administration procedures for the current TLDs. As a member of my community, I have worked in various volunteer roles including; an elementary school teacher, an assistant in a local hospital, and a high-school basketball coach.

At the present time I am a director and shareholder of Bookkeeping.com (Canada), a start-up Internet Company that will provide small business accounting services online. There is no affiliation, partnership or relation to ICANN other than our ownership of the domain ‘bookkeeping.com’. As well, I am a director and shareholder of Freetopia Corporation (Canada). This company is an online branding solutions company. There is no affiliation, partnership or relation to ICANN other than the ownership of several domain names.

Growing up in Sudbury, Ontario a small urban center located near Toronto and Ottawa in central Canada, Christopher learned the important principles that he continues to demonstrate in both his family and professional life - honesty, integrity, and compromise. As a student, Chris excelled in academics and athletics. Throughout his early education he continued to develop and apply leadership qualities in his school and community. As well, Christopher was recognized as a strong orator, both as a recipient of awards and his involvement as a student leader. Chris is a graduate of Laurentian University in Sudbury, Canada, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. As well, he has completed part time studies in business and marketing at Carleton University in Ottawa and Political Science studies at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. In 1996, Christopher accepted a teaching position in Seoul, South Korea. This international experience was extremely valuable, it enabled Chris to acquire skills in cultural relations, as well he attained a high level of ability in written and spoken Korean. Today, Chris and his wife, Hyun Ha, live and work in Canada. As both a shareholder and Director of two Internet companies Christopher continues to utilize his skills and experience in the exciting field of Internet marketing.
