I'm an advanced IT Professional. I started to work with Computer Networks in 1994. First, worked as an networks architect, we built the first campus computer networks in China - USTC Campus Network. Later, I worked as webmaster, network administrator of USTC campus networks. I have abundant experience with networks design, deploy and administrator. I understand it very well from Physical layer to Application layer.
At the same time, I kept studying new technologies and knowledge, focusing on the computer systems & networks security. I took all technical training courses of Microsoft, Cisco and IBM and got as much knowledge as I could about computer systems and networks security. With my abundant experience and knowledge, I got most major certificates of Microsoft MCP, MCSE program, Cisco Career++ program and IBM CS RS6000/AIX program.
Also, I'm experienced in network programming(socket, rpc, etc.), web development (ASP, JSP, Servelets, XML, etc.), Database deveolpment(Oracle, SQL Server, JDBC, ODBC and so on) and other general programming such as C/C++, JAVA, Visual Basic. I have a strong background in CS and IT. After I got my BS degree in Computer Science, I gave up the free chance to continue graduate study in USTC, one of top four universities in China, but went to work as a senior network engineer. In the real life outside the school, I applied my knowledge to solve the practical problem. I earned abundant first-hand experience about Internet. Also, I realized clearly that my knowledge in this field is far from enough. So I kept studying, focusing on the computer systems & networks security. I attended Microsoft¡¯s research seminars and meetings as a Microsoft Certified Systems Internet Engineer (MCSE+Internet), Cisco's technical seminars and conferences as a Cisco Certified Networks Professional (CCNP), IBM's academic seminars as a IBM Certified System Administrator (SA) and Certified Advanced Technical Expert (CATE) and other activities and conferences (i.e. LISA'99 - 13th Systems Administrator Conference). These seminars and conferences gave me the deep insight into the IT and Internet communities, which reinforce me to continue being a part of it in the future. At the mean time, my abundant experiences gave me a better understanding of Internet and related technologies.
Now, I am pursuing my MS Degree in Computer Science Department in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The graduate study at my favorite field greatly strength my abilities and broaden my knowledge. At the same time, I'm trying to find any possible chance to practice my knowledge and abilities. Currently, I'm working as a software engineer (co-op) at Pitney Bowes Inc. I'm doing some B-2-B development with JSP, Servelet, Enterprise Java Beans and so on. Pretty Cool!
In a short word, my greatest strength includes: First, abundant experience. I had been a webmaster, network administrator, senior network intergration engineer for about 6 years. Second, I know Internet very well. I'm Microsoft Certified System & Networks Engineer (MCSE+Internet). I'm Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA & CCNP). I'm a IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert (IBM CATE).
