ICANN hosts its traditional welcome ceremony. Music lovers will enjoy a performance from DouDou N'Diaye Rose, master of Senegal's traditional drum, the sabar. Mr. Rose has collaborated with celebrated musical acts such as Peter Gabriel, Miles Davis, and the Rolling Stones.

ICANN’s President and CEO Rod Beckstrom will deliver his President’s Report, summarizing ICANN’s recent accomplishments and setting the tone for the work to be done this week.

If you plan to attend both the Senegal Opening Ceremony and the ICANN Welcome Ceremony, please note that there will be a break between these sessions to allow attendees to make their way from the Big Amphitheater to the Chapiteau Tent.
