At-Large Leadership Policy Workshop 1: Subsequent Procedures: Objectives for the At-large Community
23:30 - 01:15 UTC on Saturday, 9 March
Description
Subsequent Procedures: Objectives for the At-large Community One significant blemish on the new gTLD program, from the perspective of end users, was the failure of both the Community Priority Evaluation (CPE) process and the Applicant Support Programs. Few can judge these programs as anything but a complete failure. Given the At-large objective to see more applications from underserved regions and communities, this session is a brainstorm on how to promote better participation by these groups. What suggestions from the Subsequent Prodedures interim reports seem workable to encourage such participation and which seem designed for them to once again fail. Is the timing of specific rounds something that can play a role in encouraging more participation? Would a BRAND round conflict with a community round?
