Overview:

The purpose of the Non Commercial Stakeholder Group (NCSG) is to represent, through its elected representatives and its Constituencies (The Noncommercial Users Constituency and the NonProfit Operational Concerns Constituency) the interests and concerns of noncommercial registrants and noncommercial Internet users of generic Top level Domains (gTLDs). In its role representing consumers, small business and average users of the Internet, the NCSG is hosting a discussion on the privacy implications of currents changes in the ICANN ecosystem, and recent global developments in privacy protection, such as the decisions in the European High Courts regarding search capabilities and data retention. The meeting will also address privacy issues raised in the EWG report on new gTLD directory services. Taking advantage of local outside experts resident in London, this session will be of interest to those concerned with issues of privacy, human rights, the public interest, and practical matters of application of data protection law in the ICANN ecosystem.

All are welcome to join in the discussion.
